Slide16:  1) We have seen cases where X University in Japan travel to NAFSA to meet Y University in Korea to do network, collaborate, and simply collect information of another. - But why in North America or Europe? Prepared for 2years – based on strong need for network between Institutors in Asia Pacific region WHY SUCH AN ASSOCIATION? Slide17:  2) Constructed Founding Committee (13 Prestigious Institutions) Steering Committee (6 members) – Policy making/decision) December 1st to December 3rd APAIE Inaugural Meeting at Korea University Board Meeting at the NAFSA Conference (May 31st to June 3rd) and at the Centennial Celebration (May 3rd to 5th, 2005) WHY SUCH AN ASSOCIATION? Slide18:  3) The growing need and strong consensus of forming an equivalent to NAFSA and EAIE organization in the ASIA- PACIFIC REGION. 4) We need strong network in the Asian-Pacific Educational Market which gives them prominent roles participation in the international arena. – But NAFSA/ EAIE is mainly for institutions in North America and Europe 5) Already over 275 prestigious institutions are ready to join WHY SUCH AN ASSOCIATION?
