The USA made its presents known with 35 gold, 39 silver, and 29 bronze medals. We won the most medals.   Paralympic Games:  Paralympic Games September 17 – 28, 2004 The Paralympic games are designed for persons with disabilities. This elite sport events emphasize the athletic achievements, rather than the disability, of over 3,000 participants. Upcoming Event Click on the picture for more info. Olympic First:  Olympic First The 2004 games had 441 athletes, 223 men and 218 women, consist the biggest Greek Olympic delegation ever since the first Olympic Games in Athens, in 1896.
