My first prediction was right, she did get to Nome! Though my other prediction was not right, I thought she would get to Nome with 10 dogs, but she ended up with 9 dogs. I was off by one dog. My last prediction was correct! She did get to Nome in 10 days!! Personally, I think she did a great job, even though she didn’t get in 15th place but got in 21st place. She won 11,000 dollars. picture: licensed stock photos courtesy of www. clipart.com Results Chart:  Results Chart Slide15:  Through this activity, we learned many new things in different subjects. For example in Math, we learned to read and analyze graphs, charts, maps and we solved 30 “Problems of the Day”. In Social Studies, we learned about the history of the Iditarod, studied about Alaska and its different cities, its weather, population, and geography. In Language Arts, we learned spelling, grammar, and vocabulary. In Science, we learned about the weather and temperatures, and what veterinarians do to help the dogs. We also learned how to use technology effectively. We used different types of technology such as computers, printers, projectors, and digital cameras. Our teachers taught us how to use the Internet and to do intelligent searching using Google. We also learned PowerPoint skills such as creating slides, placing pictures from the Internet, cutting and pasting slides, spell checking, wordart, and putting animations in our presentation. Lastly, we learned teamwork and appreciating others‘ opinions and special talents. We learned about real life experiences. We were in a race ourselves! Overall this experience has been terrific! I really hope we do this again! Slide16:  • I want to thank Mr. Gallegos, my school Principal, for letting my class come to the District computer lab. • I want to thank Mrs. Walker for allowing me and my class to use PowerPoint in the District Office and making this whole experience better. She also taught me how to modify graphics and create web pages. • The next person I want to thank is Mr. Cerda for helping us when our computer files got erased. Picture Source:: Global Star Software Slide17:  • I would like to thank Ms. Adela, an office worker at the lab for taking us snacks when we got really hungry and for bringing us prizes for our raffles! • I want to thank Mr. Rick, an office worker at the computer lab for rescuing us one day when we got stuck in our school. He was also helpful in troubleshooting our technical problems. Picture Source:: Global Star Software Slide18:  I want thank my favorite teacher, Ms. Calvo, for helping me when I needed help. Without her we wouldn’t have come here in the first place. I want to thank my parents for supporting me in this whole process. The last people I want to thank are my partners in the Multi- Media contest. They are Crystal, Charlie, and Justin. Pictures source: Microsoft Office 2000 Clip Art
