Generating the Greatest Content Ideas Part 3: Generating the Greatest Content Ideas Part 3 C ontent creation is not just a simple process of typing it in and leaving it alone. A good content strategy involves creating and updating content consistently. PowerPoint Presentation: C omments, emails & questions : Expanding on ideas that you have mentioned in previous content is a great way to generate ideas for new content. But expanding on topics that are presented to you by your readers can be an even more effective exercise. P lay Devil’s Advocate : When you playing devil’s advocate, it’s not only fun, but it is also a good brain exercise as well as sometimes being a challenge. Plus, it can be the catalyst for a great discussion. If you see someone writing something that you don’t agree with, don’t be afraid to say something to them. And if you see someone you do agree with, do the same thing. Never be afraid to enter a discussion, whether you agree or disagree. PowerPoint Presentation: Y ouTube : YouTube can be a really useful tool. Not only for hosting the videos you create, but also for finding new topics to discuss. YouTube is actually the world’s second largest search engine. That means there is a lot of information there, and most likely there is a lot relating to your industry and its subject matter. Search YouTube and see for yourself if you find something useful. A mazon Books : Amazon deals with all kinds of information. They have always sold books online, but when they released Kindle, they soared into the stratosphere. The good news is that you don’t have to buy their books for them to be useful. You don’t even need to read them. Amazon gives you a sneak peak of the inside covers of many books, and the table of contents is all you need.  PowerPoint Presentation: P roduct & Service Oriented : If you have a product or service that you are selling, you need to write about it. That doesn’t mean you should create content that’s a hard sales pitch. Write about updates that have been done to your product. Write about new services that you offer. Write about success stories from people who’ve used your product or service. Write about your product’s or service’s benefits. S eek out Guest Authors : You don’t have to create content all by yourself. You can seek out people who will be glad to write content for you. They’ll get a new audience to share their views and information with, and also some self-promotion. Meanwhile, you get to share their new view-points and the valuable information they bring as a third party with your readers. PowerPoint Presentation: P ersonal Stories : Personal stories are always great because they show that you are a real person. People relate to real people while sometimes they can’t always relate to a company. Telling personal stories and being human will go a long way. If you can tie a story into your service or product, you’re all the better. M etaphors : People love metaphors. Different metaphors can be easier for people to connect to and comprehend. Metaphors also make dry content become more entertaining and fascinating. And when content becomes more entertaining, you get more attention. More attention leads to higher conversion.
