But, the battle is not over… Greco Persian War:  Greco Persian War Battle of Salamis Athenian Navy destroys the Persian fleet in the waters just off Athens’ coast, as Xerxes watches. Greco Persian War:  Greco Persian War The End Xerxes and the Persians limp home. They don’t invade Greece again during the war. Athens and Sparta emerge as the leading cities in Greece. During the war, Greece is united for the first time in its history. Will unification last??? Greco Persian War:  Greco Persian War Review War between Greece and Persia Causes: Greek Colonies Revolt, Athens helps, Persia is angry Persian Rulers: Darius, Xerxses Major Battles: Marathon, Thermopylae, Salamis Outcome: Greeks win, think they are the bomb-diggity!
