Slide 8: Fun Facts about Wildcats! Jaguar Times: Sports: Jaguar Times: Sports For eighth grade, basketball tryouts are going to be held mid November, with games on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The season will go from December to February. For sixth graders, tryouts have already finished, and practice of the team is beginning at Creekside. The games will be played throughout Hayward, beginning in January. For our 6th grade basketball team, boys and girls will be having tryouts soon in December. Hopefully we will have a great season with the girls and boys basketball team. We want to hopefully beat Canyon this year. Flag Football^ Football season just ended! The sixth grade and 7th grade football had won 3 games in a row! Also lost zero games! One player named Brandon Ortiz, had played football for 2 months (that’s how long the season lasted) he said, “This was my first year playing and it was super fun! We trained really hard and it was worth it!” 100% Awesome clubs! : 100% Awesome clubs! DIY club is one of many clubs that are Awesome! In the DIY club you get to do some projects, like if you’re a great craft person this club is just for you! They make many different things, like slime, etc.. If you don’t know what DIY stands for then it means ‘ Do it yourself!’ Join! I got a girl that is in Leadership she says”Leadership is about making the school into a better place. Leadership is fun and it is very social.” In 7th grade you take a quiz and then your teacher recommends you. Leadership club is a place you work together to be great leaders. If you think that you’re a awesome leader and can work well with others, then this club is just for you! Join! Fun Creekside Trivia game! : Fun Creekside Trivia game! What does R.O.A.R mean? Where is the cafeteria? How do you earn roar cards? The Wings of Fire is a very good book, the author, Tui T. Sutherland is a very good writer and is so descriptive. The first book is about a prophecy about the five dragonets, who have to finish the war between the dragon tribes. It takes place after they had been trapped underground before they were born. The first book is very adventurous book! There’s only 9 books in one series. This book is 5 stars, and this is very exciting book that I would read over and over! Book Review:The wings of fire Teacher Feature!: Teacher Feature! Mrs.Foy has been teaching for 27 years, she is a great teacher.She did go to college she went to UCSD . Mrs.Foy right now is teaching math and science, she said she wants to keep teaching for 9 years. Mrs.Foy picked to teach middle school because it is much easier and she likes 6 graders. There is a PTC meeting on Tuesday November 8. UNICEF boxes are Thursday November 10 for 6th graders. Don’t come to school on Friday, there is NO SCHOOL Friday! The library will be closed all of next week. Thanksgiving break starts Monday November 21 to Friday November 25. Jaguars spend the hottest part of the day in a stream! A cheetah cannot retract its claws! A lion’s roar can be heard up to 5 miles away!
