Employee Development and Training The Role of the Program Manager: 4 Employee Development and Training The Role of the Program Manager Review templates for each employee Determine type(s) of training(s) needed Provide training(s) or arrange training(s) Determine competency Track training for each employee Provide Training Coordinator with verification forms and curriculum, if available Document completion date of Training on Training Template Review all Training Templates and submit with the performance evaluation to the Regional Director (Effective December 2014). Employee Development and Training Training Templates: 7 Employee Development and Training Training Templates Program Training: Each program has a training template for each employee divided into the following sections: Corporate Training HR Training for Directors and Supervisors COA Training for all program staff COA Trainings based on the type of program the employee is assigned to. Program / Funder Trainings as required Employee Development and Training Program Training Template: 8 Employee Development and Training Program Training Template Employee Development and Training The Training Library : 9 Employee Development and Training The Training Library The Training Library was developed to assist programs and departments find and access educational and electronic materials to assist with their training needs. The Library has a variety of materials that can be reserved. DVD’s Electronic Files/Articles PowerPoint Presentations Curriculum Outlines The HR Department will continuously add and update materials to the library that address both COA Training topics and other training. A spreadsheet with a list of training materials is available to make it easier to identify what is in the library. The last column on the spreadsheet identifies how the material is available. Programs may submit materials to the Training Library that they find helpful. Employee Development and Training Training Library Inventory Spreadsheet: 10 Employee Development and Training Training Library Inventory Spreadsheet Provides a current list of available Training Materials. Employee Development and Training How to Request Training Materials : 11 Employee Development and Training How to Request Training Materials Process to Access Electronic Training Materials Identify your training needs. Log into the Employee Portal under the Training Tab to view the Training Inventory Spreadsheet (Directions in Section 1 of binder). Go to the Training Library Tab and download your electronic article, PowerPoint Presentation (In Alpha Order). You must have Adobe Acrobat to download the file. Process to Request DVD’s, Training Books and Curriculum Outlines Log into the Employee Portal under the Training Tab to view the Training Inventory Spreadsheet. Employee must send an email to make request for materials (DVD or Books). An HR Representative will acknowledge receipt of the request and let the person making the request know if materials are in stock or available. If Materials are available, they will be mailed in 1-3 business days. If the Library does not have the materials being requested, an HR Staff will discuss other options for obtaining the materials. Training Materials are being added to the Training Inventory Spreadsheet as they become available. Employee Development and Training Documentation Process: 12 Employee Development and Training Documentation Process There are five (5) Verification Forms: Group Training Verification Sign-In Sheet Individual Training Verification Log Group Competence Verification Sign-In Sheet Individual Competence Verification Log Program New Hire Orientation Sign-In Sheet Submit the appropriate Verification Form to the training coordinator with a copy of the topic curriculum, if available. Employee Development and Training Group Training Verification Sign-In Sheet: 13 Employee Development and Training Group Training Verification Sign-In Sheet This form is completed when two or more employees receive training. Employee Development and Training Individual Training Verification Log: 14 Employee Development and Training Individual Training Verification Log This form is completed when an individual has attended and completed a training. It must be completed, signed by the employee and the Supervisor/ Manager. Employee Development and Training Group Competence Verification Sign-In Sheet: 15 Employee Development and Training Group Competence Verification Sign-In Sheet This form is completed when two or more employees “demonstrate competence” to their supervisor. Employee Development and Training Individual Competence Verification Log: 16 Employee Development and Training Individual Competence Verification Log This form is completed when one (1) employee “demonstrates competence” to their supervisor.
